Took a major step recently – bridesmaid dresses!! HUGELY exciting – the first major purchase toward the approaching wedding (other than my engagement ring, of course). They are red, with orange flecks of color. I know, it’s a bold choice, especially for a March wedding… but I’ve been concerned with practicality, finding something the girls would like and be able to wear again, without the usual “bridesmaid dress” stigma. These seem perfect, for the following reasons:
- stylish and modest (a combination extremely rare these days)
- surprisingly flattering to every figure (funny how each girl is different)
- a pretty good deal (under $100, phew)
- bright, happy colors (naturally)
- easily available (Southpark, of course)
- good quality (White House Black Market!)
- approved by the moms (mine, & Greg’s)
{Should probably note that I have settled on having four bridesmaids. They are four girls I love very much: my sisters Julianna, Christine, and Mary Squicciarini, and my soon-to-be sister-in-law Adriah Bartos.}
The picture is from our fun dress fitting at the mall, complete with shoes + jewelry.

Can’t tell you how overjoyed I am that you nailed something down! I LOVE THE DRESSES!!! I will *definitely* be wearing mine again, after the wedding. It seems very versatile.
